Your First Appointment

APPOINTMENTS
To make an appointment to see Dr Bowman, please phone 3163 3633. If you are a new patient, please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment to complete the patient information details to ensure the efficient running of the clinic.

WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
A current referral from your General Practitioner or Specialist
•    Any X-rays, hearing tests or relevant tests that you have relating to your current condition
Your Medicare card/DVA Gold card, private health insurance card and pension card
A list of your current medications

WHY YOU NEED A REFERRAL
If you have a valid referral you will be able to obtain a Medicare rebate for Dr Bowman’s fees. A referral from a general practitioner is valid for 12 months and a referral from another specialist is valid for 3 months. This also provides Dr Bowman with an outline of your medical history as well as the reason for your presentation.

Without a current referral you will not be able to obtain a Medicare Rebate for the visit. Please keep a check on the expiry of your referral when making follow up appointments.

FEES AND PAYMENT
When you make your appointment you will be informed of the consultation fees which are payable at the time of the consultation. There may be extra charges if any tests or minor procedures are performed on the day but these do have a Medicare Rebate attached.

Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard.
